Transgender Individuals’ Access to College Housing and Bathrooms: Findings from the National Transgender Discrimination Survey

Authored by Kristie L. Seelman, the study titled ‘Transgender Access to Housing and Bathrooms’ uses data from the National Transgender Discrimination Survey to understand what personal and gender—related factor could be used to predict denial of access to gender appropriate housing and bathroom facilities within university spaces. Using statistical analysis, the study reveals key differences in experiences within different subgroups of the umbrella transgender identity, and their intersectional with other identity markers.
