The author covers themes that range from lived experiences of racism and sexism, to reasons that led individuals to migrate. McDuie-Ra goes further ahead to explore the negotiations and processes that Northeast migrants make to carve their own space in the city, and in his own words, go beyond the notion of ‘victims of the city’.
