Disability and poverty: A survey of World Bank Poverty Assessments and implications

This paper helps us understand the deep corelation SDG 1 has with various identity indicators. Braithwaite and Mont discuss the methods through which disability and poverty have been empirically studied. By surveying 154 poverty assessments done at the World Bank over the past 20 years, they highlight the limitations of these methods, and discuss the need for differential methodology so as to truly understand the quality of people’s lives, contextually.
