The India Exclusion Report for 2019-20 aims to capture the reality of the country at two fronts-
(a) by understanding the experiences of the vulnerable groups in the IXR that undergo layered exclusions.
(b) by exploring the role & efficiency of public policy in equitably distributing public goods to the people, especially to the vulnerable.
The Report not only helps us understand the layered reality of SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) in India, but also situates the impact of COVID19 in a vastly stratified society like ours. By reflecting on a variety of government reports as well as academic publications, the report drives home hard hitting facts about the current predicaments of the country.
